Artisha Bolding Agrees That Ben Does Faith Right, Not Jason

Author, Podcaster,
& Head of T Bold Media Group
Hey Threadies,
Faith was a big focus on this podcast. But first, I’d like to say that I hope things are going well for you. The guys at Threads Podcast: Life Unfiltered are doing well, and you know what? They recently released their 85th episode! Can you believe it? 85 episodes in and they just keep getting better and better.
On the most recent episode of the show, they guys spoke with Artisha Bolding, an author, founder of T Bold Media Group, and fellow podcaster. She has a cool story that involves working at a nuclear plant, before finding her passion and purpose helping others.
She gave some advice, talked faith, and inspired the heck out of me. Here are 3 snippets from the interview.
Enjoy. (Or don’t. Your call.)
#1 – Get a routine
Artisha told the guys that she wakes up every day, has coffee, breakfast, and gets ready for the day. Then she does what she calls “ministering to yourself.” This is, more or less, going through daily affirmations–saying positive things to/about yourself. After that, emails, social media, voicemails, you name it. Then the rest of the work day (talking, phone calls, meetings, etc…). Last thing before returning to real life, writing.
#2 – When it comes to faith, she’s with Ben
Like in many aspects of her life, Artisha’s faith is something that has evolved drastically over time. She started out growing up Methodist, in a family that “No matter what happened during the week, you were at church on Sunday.” But that routine became more meaningful as she grew older. She has since gone from Methodist to Baptist to, now, a non-denominational church.
When asked whose sense of spirituality lines up with hers, Ben or Jason, she chose Ben. Ben’s the kind of guy who sees God in everything. Jason is the kind of guy who makes fun of Ben, saying, “Oh yeah? Do you see God in that water bottle?” Artisha said, “I’m definitely in Ben’s camp on this one.”
(But she assures us that she loves them both.)
#3 – Artisha’s words of wisdom
Artisha was asked what words of wisdom she’d like to share at the end of the interview, and she exploded with inspiration as the time wound down. Here’s what she said:
“Don’t let anyone dictate your journey for you. Don’t let anyone manipulate you with guilt or shame. You are the architect of your own life, so design you the life that gives you the most joy. Walk in your power and your purpose.”
But she warned: “Time is not your friend. Do not think that you’re always going to have time. Use the days and moments that you have now to do what your purposed to do on the earth.”
Episode 85 of Threads Podcast: Life Unfiltered is a quick and easy listen.
Check out Artisha’s interview, it’s a really easy listen. It’s about 30 minutes long. I listened while I ran a few miles. She was pleasant, funny, and inspirational. You can learn more about Artisha at her website, or by listening to her podcast, Bold Journeyzz. She also has a book called Journal For Your Journey: 31 Days of Prayer to Center Your Soul.
