Secondly format the USB the way I mentioned earlier. Make sure there's nothing important on there beforehand though! This book is not even two months old! Check the system.log and see if there is anything that says IO error and a disk name or slice number. Could it be the disc I am using, but just 2 weeks ago I used the same disc to install onto my mac mini.
